brave . . . like others who have gone before: corrie, daniel, nehemiah, elliot, and theresa.
they’re not afraid yet sure without certainty of where the next steps are.
unconcerned with what the world says . . .eyes fixed upon Jesus
narrow in focus . . .wide in compassion
obeying the commands to know God and follow after Him with heart, soul, and mind.

Hebrews 4:10-12
For anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Lord God – Let us fall into Your rest. Let us drift into Your word. Let us live by Your truth. Like a seasoned chef – shape us into Your image, Lord, with Your might sword – Your word. Amen
And the Winds Blew March 4, 2008
Have you ever felt like the winds were blowing? I do all the time. Sometimes it feels like typhoon sized winds are knocking upon my heart, my soul, and my mind. I begin to worry. Sometimes even the small winds seem like too much for my delicate spirit and I begin to be afraid. God’s Word tells us to come into His shelter. Only He can recognize, rectify, and calm the winds of life. I am slowly learning to come to Him always – under all circumstances.
Matthew 8:26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
Matthew 14:31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
Luke 12:26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
