“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”

This is one of my favorite quotes from Corrie ten Boom.  She was so fiercely brave; confident.  She was willing to take the next step even when she didn’t know what it was.  I believe it is because she wasn’t afraid since she know she would always be accompanied by God.  She knew God.  She knew his character, that he was faithful, sovereign, a refuge, and always right.

God was and still is in control.

Why is it so hard then to let go to the God who knows everything?

I had a friend who I often heard say this:

If you don’t know the next step God has for you, take the next step and you’ll hear back from Him!

From today’s message at church. . .

God calls us to repent, He encourages us to repent, He yearns for us to repent, and He celebrates with us when we repent.

Why is it so hard then – to repent?

Thank You God for giving your Son, Jesus, to pay the price for my sins.  Amen

“‘The image of God is . . . what we are enroute to become’ – a calling that invokes us to aspire to be more.”

Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.

These words are quoted from Corrie ten Boom, a Dutch woman whom God used to change the trajectory of so many people’s lives.  She and her family were part of an underground operation that hid Jews during World War II.  They were eventually discovered and sent to the concentration camps and even there she did God’s work to change the lives of so many people.  She survived and continued her work as a missionary who constantly listened to God’s Voice and spread His Gospel wherever she went.  I consider her one of my heroes.   In my own life, I have always looked for the “certain” and “sure” things but these are not the things that faith are made of.  It is when we take a leap into the hands of our Mighty God which is the truest of all hiding places - that we experience and are exercising faith

Hebrews 10:21-23
and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

God made us: invented us as a man invents an engine.  A car is made to run on petrol, and it would not run properly on anything else.  Now God designed the human machine to run on Himself.  He Himself is the fuel our spirits were designed to burn, or the food our spirits were designed to feed on.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name
Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive our debts as we forgive our debtorsAnd lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.

There are only two days to think pray about:  This day (today) & That day (judgement day)

Speak confidence into me Lord so that the darkness of doubt does not shadow over me.
