Oh Lord – the ocean swirls around me – the wind blows hard against my body – the pressures crush me – the world is in disarray – and You are the same – FOREVER.  Lord – would you lift me from the waters and shelter me from the wind and lift the weight from above?  Take it all Lord – for I am incapable.  Amen

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Psalm 81:6-7He says, “I removed the burden from their shoulders; their hands were set free from the basket. In your distress you called and I rescued you, I answered you out of a thundercloud; I tested you at the waters of Meribah.  Selah

About a month ago I had some questions from readers about evidence for the Trinity in the Bible.  In my recent studies in 1st John there is yet more evidence of the Holy three-in-one.  I will say yet again that I am not a theologian – just a person who seeks to know God and to be known by God.

1st John 5:6-8  This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood.  It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.  For there are three that testify:  the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

As I ask God to reveal what His words mean in this passage I have come to know that the Spirit is the Holy spirit, the Water is the Father God, and the Blood is Jesus Christ.  This is the Holy Trinity.

I am a chemist.  I dissolve substances – one into another.  I dissolve salt into water and the salt seems to “disappear” – but it really is there – it’s just hidden by the water that surrounds it.  The solid salt acts like its solvent, water; it flows.  If I evaporate the water the salt appears again but it no longer is able to flow like fluid water.

I am thankful that my relationship with God is like the dissolving process.  He surrounds me, hides me, keeps me safe.  When I am dissolved in Him, I flow like Him, because I am in Him and He is in me.  If God is removed from my life I am no longer fluid, no longer hidden in Him, vulnerable.
